FAQ on Web Maintenance Work How does it work if we hire a "virtual webmaster"?
Once you hire the virtual webmaster (VWM), you essentially have a full-time web master working for you during your off hours. While you work on the web site during the work hours in the Northern America, you can leave instructions for tasks for your VWM to do during the night when you go to sleep. With the help of the VM, your site is maintained and monitored essentially 24-7.
You manage and communicate with the VWMs through a task manager area, e-mails, instant messengers, telephones, faxes, regular mail, and other tools.
How could you offer webmaster services at such low prices?
Our Virtual Webmasters are located overseas. They access and work on your web site through the Internet during the off hours in the US. They work as a group to various tasks, which further saves the labor cost.
Do the virtual webmasters understand English? What's their technical skills?
All of our virtual webmasters have college degrees. They can all read, write, and speak in English. Their technical skills vary. All of them know HTML and have working experience with Yahoo store manager. Some of them know Java, DHTML, and RTML.
Can the VWMs do site customization?
No. Major site customization such as modifying templates, CSS sheets, major navigation systems, and such are handled through our trained consultants in the US. Site customization is at an additional fee - however, customization discounts may be available for holders of long term maintence contracts. Our consultants may also be able to work with VWMs to improve the speed of customization implementation in some instances.
What kind of services are included in the VWM agreement?:
With the agreement, you hired one full-time web master working on your site - eight hours per day and 40 hours per week. The examples of the tasks the VWM can do for you include but are not limited to:
(1) Daily adjustments of prices.
(2) Adding new product items and special pages.
(3) Correcting web errors, bugs, and link problems.
(4) Re-organize web pages.
(5) Adjust inventory.
(6) Create, acquire, and add new contents.
(7) Improve site-wide navigation.
(8) Add options to existing items as cross-sell items.
(9) Adjust and move/remove sold-out and obsolete items.
(10) Post and respond to customer feedback/ratings.

(12) Creating/updating section or department indexes.
(13) Divide "big" departments into sections.
You are encouraged to come up with your own list of tasks that you can out-source to your VWM.
What will happen if one VWM can't handle all the tasks we have?
If the work load exceeds the capacity for one full-time VWM, you have several choices: (1) Prioritize the tasks and delay some of the low-priority ones. (2) Ask the VWM for some over time to speed up some of the tasks. (3) Hire another VWM temporarily for some specific tasks or full-time at a reduced rate.
Our VWMs will keep you informed of the work load capacity.
Do you guarantee that your work will be accurate?
We do our best to ensure that our work is accurate and complete. We give 30-day warranty period to correct any errors and mistakes for free. However, we do not guarantee that there is no error at all in our work.
